I had the opportunity to letterpress my own business cards, a first for me in both regards! Through my typography class, I had hands-on experience about the very thing I was learning— kerning, leading, type sizes, etc. My instructor led the demo and students got the chance to print whatever we wanted.
Our class only had enough time to typeset two lines of text 21 picas long, so the most appropriate thing to do was print our name. The tough part of this was finding which type to choose. There were so many to choose from!
I went with Railroad Gothic to match the boldness and modernity of my website portfolio.
